Try puzzle 1 as a real lock
The Pumpkin Patch, the easy one. Four failed tries, one 3-digit code. Your lock asks the same question and opens on your own reveal. This demo is dressed in the midnight look, with the filmed cauldron and the pumpkins, and you can dress yours the same way.
Mission: the farmer locked the pumpkin patch. Use the four failed tries to crack the 3-digit code.

How to use it in class
- 1
Print or project
Download the PDF and print the puzzles, or project one as a warm-up. Each page has room to work, and the answer key explains the trap in every puzzle.
- 2
Make the codes real locks
On Lock Challenge, pick the lock that matches the code (number, word or arrows), paste the puzzle and write what your class sees when it opens. Add a filmed opening, a cauldron or a creaky coffin, and a Halloween look.
- 3
Share one link
Students open the link or scan the QR code on any device, with no account. The lock shakes on a wrong code and opens on the right one.
💡 Classroom idea: the candy vault
Put one puzzle on each table. The five codes, in order, unlock a final "candy vault" lock, and the fastest team gets first pick of the candy bowl.
