Is the free plan limited by how many people play?+
No. Players and attempts are unlimited on every plan, free included. The free plan is bounded by what you can build: 3 basic locks, single or multi-step, of up to 3 steps each. A basic lock never expires, and it works for as many players as you send to it.
What happens when I reach the free plan's limits?+
Reaching a limit closes nothing you built. When you try to create a fourth lock or add a step past the ceiling, the app offers the Event Pass, paid once, $7.90 for 15 days or $9.90 for 30 days, for 10 locks of up to 10 steps each, or Pro, with no limit. Your existing locks, single or multi-step, and their links are untouched either way.
How much does Lock Challenge cost?+
Three ways in. Free includes all 15 formats, sudoku and Wordle included, every reveal, 3 basic locks, single or multi-step, of up to 3 steps each, and unlimited players, in the default theme, and a basic lock never expires. The Event Pass is paid once, $7.90 for 15 days or $9.90 for 30 days, and styles one event: 10 locks of up to 10 steps each, every theme, filmed unlock animation, celebration, typeface and premium template, your own two pictures, your own logo, email invitations with per-person tracking, and no branding. Pro is $14.90 per month or $99 per year, with unlimited locks and steps for as long as you subscribe, and adds what running an event needs: detailed results, CSV export, player emails, timed challenges with a clock for the whole game, an optional clock per step and one play per device, access codes and player caps, scheduling, the live dashboard and leaderboard, the printable QR pack, a cap on winners, duplication, embedding and commercial use.
What happens when my Event Pass ends?+
A pass is paid once and never renews by itself. When its 15 or 30 days end, the premium locks you styled with it stop opening for players, who see a line saying so; your basic locks stay open. Nothing is deleted, the links keep working, and taking another pass or subscribing to Pro reopens everything at once.
What happens if I cancel Pro?+
Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing is charged after that. The account then returns to the Free plan: nothing is deleted, but the locks that use paid options, a theme or a Pro setting, stop opening for players, who see that the lock has expired. Basic locks stay open for good. If you move to an Event Pass instead, everything the pass covers keeps working and only the locks that use Pro options, or go past the pass limits, are disabled. Taking Pro again reactivates all of it at once.
