These terms cover how you may use Lock Challenge, what the plan gives you, and what happens to what you publish when your access ends.
Lock Challenge is published and operated by GoLive Software LLC, Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States ("we"). Creating an account, buying a plan or publishing a lock means you accept these terms.
Using the service
You may create locks and share them with the people you choose. You are responsible for what you hide behind a lock and for the people you invite to play it. Do not use the service to publish or conceal illegal or harmful content, and do not use it to collect information from players that you have no right to collect. We may close a lock or an account that breaks this.
Plan and payment
Lock Challenge has one plan with everything included, in three lengths: 1 week for $4.90, paid once, which never renews; 1 month for $14.90, renewing every month until you cancel; 1 year for $59, renewing every year until you cancel. Building and previewing a lock are free. Publishing a new lock requires active access. Players never pay and need no account. Buying a week while a week is active adds 7 days to it; a week cannot be bought while a subscription is active. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices are shown before payment and include the taxes we are required to charge.
When your access ends
Nothing is deleted and no link is changed. A lock you published stays online and playable as it was published, with its look, sound, filmed opening and settings, while your access (week, month or year) is active. At the end of the period you paid for, published locks and games stop opening for players, who see that the lock has expired, and publishing new locks, adding paid options to a published lock, launching a Team Battle and the organiser tools (live board, answers, CSV export, detailed stats) stop too. A Team Battle launched before the end runs to its end. Buying any length again reopens all of it at once, on the same links and QR codes.
Commercial use
Commercial use is included in all three lengths: you may use a lock to sell, to promote a business or as part of a paid product.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a monthly or yearly subscription at any time from the billing page, in one click. Your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing is charged after that. The week is paid once and has nothing to cancel. If a payment is refunded, the access it bought ends at the moment of the refund and the rule above applies. For anything else, write to contact@lockchallenge.com.
Purchases made before 25 October 2026
An Event Pass bought before 25 October 2026 keeps the rules in force when it was bought until its natural end; the Event Pass is no longer sold. A Pro subscription started before that date continues at its price. Locks published on the free plan before that date stay online as they were published. A week, month or year bought before 26 October 2026 keeps what it published online after it ends.
Your content
What you put in a lock stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to host it, show it to your players and run the service. You confirm that you have the right to use the images, audio, logos and text you upload.
Availability
We work to keep every lock online and every answer checked around the clock, but the service is provided as it is and as available, without a promise that it will never be interrupted or free of errors. For an event that matters, test your lock before the day and keep a fallback, such as the answer on paper with the organiser.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost data or a disrupted event, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, nor the rights the consumer law of your country gives you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico and the federal laws of the United States, and the courts of Albuquerque, New Mexico, have jurisdiction. If you live in a country whose consumer law protects you more, those protections still apply and you may bring a claim before the courts where you live. Before any claim, write to contact@lockchallenge.com: most questions are settled there.
Changes
We may change these terms as the product changes. The version on this page is the one that applies, and material changes are announced to account holders by email.
