Number

A quantity rather than a code: how many sweets are in the jar, what year the bridge opened, how far it is to the lighthouse. The creator sets the answer and how far off still counts, so an estimate can open the lock while a wild guess cannot. Players type any whole number on a keypad, no fixed length.

Test it like a player

A jar of marbles sits on the table. The lock asks how many are inside, accepts any answer within ten of the real count, and tells a player within fifty that they are close. The reveal is the name of the winner.

Set the answer

Type the number, set the accepted margin (0 for exact), and optionally switch on the line that tells players when they are close.
