Questions about this template
- Can I use my own city and checkpoints?
- Yes. Replace each checkpoint with any real place, set how close players must get, and rewrite the clues and reveals. A park, a campus or an old town works as well as Paris.
- What do players need?
- A phone with a browser and location turned on: the browser asks for permission when a checkpoint is checked. No app and no account are needed.
- Can players cheat from the sofa?
- Not easily. A step opens only when the phone reports a position inside the radius you set, 250 metres for the first checkpoint here, so teams really have to walk there.
- Is this template free?
- Playing it and editing it in the builder are free for everyone. Publishing it with its paid options needs an Event Pass or Pro; remove them at Publish and it goes live on the free plan, for good.
- Can I change the answers and the texts?
- Yes. Every code, clue, hint and reward opens in the builder, and nothing is saved until you publish.
- What do players need?
- A phone or a computer with a browser. They open your link or scan your QR code, and never create an account.
- How long does it take to play?
- About 60 minutes, from the first lock to the reward.
